Chizzy Alichi recently shared a video capturing reactions from colleagues in the movie industry after surprising them with her baby bump on a video call.
The video, which has since gone viral, captured the reactions from veteran Nollywood stars, including Patience Ozokwor aka Mama G, Kanayo O. Kanayo aka Nnayi Sacrifice, Mercy Johnson, Nancy Isime, to Chizzy Alichi’s pregnancy announcement.

However, Mercy Johnson’s reaction stood out as the video captured her getting visibly emotional and stunned for some minutes.
“Here’s how some of my faves reacted to my pregnancy when I called them. Very sweet and emotional moment for me. I love y” all and master Kenechukwu is waiting for you to come and carry him,” Chizzy Alichi wrote in a caption.

The actress revealed that her son was born prematurely at 30 weeks and spent 25 days in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
Describing the experience as the most difficult period of her life, Chizzy recounted the challenges she faced during pregnancy, including a medical condition that forced her into prolonged bed rest at home and in the hospital.

“I don’t even know where to start from. But all I can say is thank you, God Almighty, for what you have done for me and my family.”
Chizzy shared how she turned to faith in desperation, joining online prayer groups, giving tithes to multiple churches, frequenting the chapel, and performing acts of charity in orphanages and on the streets. She also emotionally mentioned how she often prayed with her late father’s portrait, seeking strength and a sign from him.

“I cried, I prayed… I did everything that came to my head,” she wrote. “But God is too faithful to fail. Those who trust Him can never be put to shame.”
